Helping Educate to Advance the Rights of Deaf communities (HEARD) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that promotes equal access to the legal system for Deaf\/disabled defendants, incarcerated & returning individuals across the nation.<\/p>\n

Please come to this workshop and learn more about the following topics:<\/p>\n

– Know Your Rights
\n– Police & Court Interactions
\n– Access during Arrests, Incarceration, & Reentry
\n– Deaf Wrongful Arrests & Wrongful Convictions
\n– HEARD Texas Chapter Establishment
\n– & Much More!<\/p>\n

The CAAG\u2019s Resource Specialist Program is funded by the Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services under Texas Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n

The presentation will be provided in ASL. Voice interpreters will be provided for hearing audience.
