DEAF CELEBRATION EXPO 2017 SURVEY:\u00a0https:\/\/goo.gl\/Ase6jK\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was our 2nd year with Deaf Celebration Expo last month (September 23, 2017) and we had amazing expo again\u00a0this year!!<\/p>\n

We had a good turnout, plenty booths, awesome shows, wonderful volunteers and committee.<\/p>\n

1. 1,400+ attendances including volunteers and vendors
\n2. 59 booths; four from out of Texas (three from CA & one from NY)
\n3. 200 fans at the evening show
\n4. 30 volunteers, including many ASL students from TCC campus.
\n5. 1 Famous Deaf Clown Swishy<\/p>\n

We are proud to have solid entertainment shows with our ASL storytelling Jose Granda and Heath Goodall \u2013 special thanks to Sign2go Interpreting Team provide the voice for our hearing audience. Thank you so much, Jose and Heath!<\/p>\n

We are lucky to have Alex from The Daily Moth to be our Master of Ceremony at our show and as well as be part of the expo during the day for signing, take pictures and chit chat! Everybody loves him!!!<\/p>\n

We had Deaf-Owned Austin-based Crepe Crazy food service to come and serve our people all day. Best of all, partnering with Hired Hands, they gave away $6.00 dollars off coupons to buy foods from Crepe Crazy to all vendors, volunteers and committee. You rock!<\/p>\n

Tarrant County College at Trinity River campus & the ASL \/ Interpreter program are awesome people, we want to thank them for allowing us to use their building.<\/p>\n

I want to make a special thank you to Sign2go Interpreting, Hired Hands and Sorenson VRS for making it possible. If you are interested in sponsors Deaf Celebration Expo next year, please contact us.<\/p>\n

Also, we committee agreed to donate $500 dollars to Hurricane Harvey Deaf Survivors.<\/p>\n
