Austin Community College (ACC) needs an instructor for a DeafBlind course in Spring 2018 as soon as possible!!!!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

What:
\nSLNG 1346 – Working with DeafBlind Persons (3-3-1)
\nInstruction in the skills necessary to work with people who are deaf-blind, including deaf-blind children, in educational and residential settings. Includes skills for working as a Support Service Provider (SSP) for a deaf-blind person. May include outside activities.

Where:
\nRio Grande ACC campus.<\/p>\n

When:
\n16 weeks starting January 16, 2017 – May 13, 2017.<\/p>\n

Duration Per Week:
\n3 hours per week. Could be a hybrid class which will be 1.5 hours per week. (3 credits)<\/p>\n

Deadline:\u00a0December 8th, 2017<\/p>\n

Instructor Requirement:
\n– BA degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, or Deaf Education or
\n– AA degree in ASL Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or ASL and 3 years non-teaching work experience or
\n– Related degree (with appropriate coursework) and 3 years non-teaching work experience
