NAD Position Announcement – Receptionist <\/p>\n
Silver Spring, MD \u2013 The National Association of the Deaf (NAD),
\nheadquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks a dynamic and a highly
\nmotivated Receptionist. <\/p>\n
Key responsibilities for the Receptionist include, but are not
\nlimited to: Managing the association\u2019s lobby area; greeting and
\ndirecting all visitors; handling incoming and outgoing calls;
\nassisting with administrative projects including word processing, data
\nentry, and Internet research tasks. Additional duties include mail
\ndistribution; supply orders and distribution; and other general
\nadministrative duties. <\/p>\n
This position requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree or an acceptable
\ncombination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be a
\nself starter and team player, with the ability to work
\ncollaboratively, effectively and flexibly with staff and multiple
\nconstituents. Excellent organizational skills are required, with the
\nability to work independently under pressure and adhere to tight
\ntimelines. Exceptional written communication, research, and
\npresentation skills are also required for this position. Conversant in
\nAmerican Sign Language (ASL) with knowledge of deaf culture, language,
\nand heritage is required. <\/p>\n
This is a full time position with a standard benefits package; salary
\nis commensurate with experience. <\/p>\n
