I am also the resident interpreter for the Women of the World Poetry Slams (WoWPS).

But the best part is they (WoWPS) are sponsoring an ASL Cabaret showcase. March 16th 10am; Dallas Public Library. We are looking for local ASL performing artists. Do you or someone you know sign funny ASL stories or ABC/123 games or poems? How about signing to a song or dance or skits? Well, we want you on our stage! We are looking to feature your special talent and will have an open mic/stage.

If you don’t know of Slam Poetry it is basically competition performance poetry. Every year they have a national competition and this year 96 women poets will be coming to Dallas! The event will be March 14th – 17th with finals happening on the 17th at The Majestic Theater; this is a big deal.
Here is their website for more info at http://www.wowps2018.com/

The Finals will be interpreted, and we will do our best to provide services for other requested events on the schedule.

I know most ASL programs require their students to attend an event with ASL so this would be an excellent experience to practice or show off their exam projects and to see their local ASL heroes performing for a national audience. ASL Cabaret has been producing ASL shows for four years in LA & Hollywood and around the country featuring ASL stars from “Switched at Birth” and “Spring Awakening”, Deaf West Theater, Gallaudet, including Marlee Matlin, John Maucere, CJ Jones and more! Come perform and be a part of the legacy! Check out our facebook page. This is also an opportunity to see insane slam interpreting and hear the most phenomenal women poets in the country; a truly entertaining event!

I’m so very excited to visit Dallas! Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of service. Please help us spread the word. Looking forward to meeting you.. maybe share a glass of wine,,,,

Respectfully,
Mona Jean Cedar
http://www.PASDASL.com
323 316 0398

http://www.Facebook.com/aslcabaret

Wanted: ASL performers! for ASL Cabaret from Los Angeles in Dallas!
