Calling all deaf and hard of hearing Campers between the ages of 8-17, Camp Counselors, and Volunteers to apply for Camp SIGN 2018!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Camp Sign is a communication barrier-free outdoor training program that provides an environment of acceptance and encouragement. Activities may include: swimming, archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, drama and more! This program operates under the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) under Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC).<\/p>\n

Camp Sign continues to use a wonderful campsite in the woodlands of Conroe, Texas, just 35 miles north of Houston. Camp Misty Meadows is owned and operated by the Girl Scout of San Jacinto. The dates for camp this year are\u00a0Sunday, August 5, 2018 – Saturday, August 11, 2018<\/span>\u00a0for campers, and\u00a0August 4-11<\/span>\u00a0for Counselors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJuly 6, 2018<\/span><\/strong>: Camper Fees* Due<\/p>\n

*Camp Sign depends on donations to keep the program running. Donations do not cover the entire cost of the camp.\u00a0 Parents or guardians will be asked to fill out income information located on the application form to determine the cost for their child. There are two separate\u00a0fees:\u00a0application fee and camp fee<\/em>. The total cost ranges from $35 to $235 (both application and camp fees) depending on the income of the parent(s) or guardian(s).\u00a0 Medical exams and transportation\u00a0are not included<\/strong>\u00a0in this price.\u00a0 Once your application is reviewed by DHHS staff, we will send you a follow-up email with your camp fee balance.<\/p>\n
