The Deaf Celebration 2008 event will be held on Saturday, September
\n27th, 2008 at the Plano Centre in Plano, Texas. <\/p>\n
The goal of Deaf Celebration is multipurpose. First, we wish to
\nprovide a forum where Deaf people can gather, learn from exhibitors
\nand workshops, and enjoy entertainment targeted to an audience of
\nD\/deaf individuals. We wish to broaden the public’s knowledge of Deaf
\nculture and Deaf heritage, and create an environment where parents,
\nprofessionals, children, teachers, doctors, educators, students and
\nother interested people can come together to learn about and celebrate
\nthe vibrancy of Deaf Culture. Another purpose of this spectacular
\nevent is to create public awareness of organizations of, for, and by
\nDeaf people. Finally, Deaf Celebration provides a forum for artists,
\nperforming artists, and craftspeople that are Deaf. <\/p>\n
