My name is Paul Silvasi and I am a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Gallaudet University. I am reaching out to you today for assistance in distributing my survey for my dissertation. My dissertation looks at interaction experiences that deaf individuals in the United States have had with the police. My goal with my dissertation is to better understand the experiences deaf citizens have had with the police, to understand the kind of training and regulations police officers have regarding working with deaf individuals, and to use the information gathered from this project to push for nationwide standards on best practices for the police when interacting with deaf citizens. I&#8217;m reaching out to you today as I believe this relates to the mission goal of your organization, and I was hoping you would help me in distributing my survey to your members in an email blast, in your newsletter, or by any other method you use to disseminate information.
