http:\/\/www.nhumc.org<\/a><\/p>\nSam Jackson, of San Antonio passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July
\n29, 2008. He was 57 years old.<\/p>\n
Sam moved to San Antonio from Colorado in 2003 and quickly
\nestablished himself in our community with his outgoing, generous and
\nhumorous personality. Sam was very involved in the community, a
\nvolunteer to cook for and feed the homeless through Mission Under the
\nBridge, and his church, New Life Deaf Fellowship.<\/p>\n
Sam was also an avid golfer, helping to establish the Central Texas
\nDeaf Golf Association. His involvement with the CTDGA in planning and
\nhosting the 49th annunl SouthWest Deaf Golf Tournament in 2007 was
\noutstanding, making this tournament one of the best in years. His
\ntireless dedication to ensuring players and fans had an enjoyable and
\ncomfortable experience was greatly appreciated. The golfing community
\nlost a great man.<\/p>\n
Sam will be sorely missed, he was so upbeat, positive and always had
\na funny story to relate.<\/p>\n
