Chad<br \/>\nbecame Deaf at the age of 16 months due to Spinal Meningitis. He was<br \/>\nraised by Christian parents, Dennis and LuAnn Entinger, in Howard<br \/>\nLake, Minnesota. At the age of 8 years old, he accepted Jesus as his<br \/>\nLord and Savior and was baptized by his father at the Howard Lake<br \/>\nChristian Church. Chad attended elementary, middle, and junior high<br \/>\nschools in the Howard Lake \u2013 Waverly Public School System. During<br \/>\nhis high school years, Chad went to the Minnesota State Academy for<br \/>\nthe Deaf (M.S.A.D.), graduating in 1993. He then enrolled at Gallaudet<br \/>\nUniversity in Washington, D.C., and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts<br \/>\ndegree in Elementary Education in 1997 and a Master of Arts degree in<br \/>\nDeaf Education in 1999. <\/p>\n<p>Chad was ordained for Christian ministry work by the Howard Lake<br \/>\nChristian Church on April 23, 2006. Chad\u2019s main goals in ministry<br \/>\nare similar to Deaf Missions: To share the good news of Jesus Christ<br \/>\nwith Deaf people, primarily through preparing and distributing Bible<br \/>\nvisuals for the Deaf; to train Christians to minister with the Deaf;<br \/>\nand to serve the Lord through personal work among Deaf people. Also,<br \/>\nChad wrote personal narratives for Bob Ayres\u2019 \u201cDeaf Diaspora: The<br \/>\nThird Wave of Deaf Ministry\u201d book, published 2004 <\/p>\n<p>Saturday, October 4, 2008 9 A.M. \u2013 5:00 P.M. Explain how ASL Bible may be used to: <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Prepare for interpreting Scripture <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Understand meaning of words (including zero-meaning words) <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Learn how to sign religious words and concepts <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Understand mood of certain passages of Scripture (facial<br \/>\nexpression) <\/p>\n<p>Samples of ASL Bible passages will be shown.
