1. Program Coordination Specialist (Program Specialist II)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Program Coordination Specialist is hired by, and reports to the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (ODHHS) Director and performs moderately complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Work is performed with limited supervision, while exercising initiative and independent judgment. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing various service projects and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.<\/p>\n

Duties include: establishing program goals and objectives; developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules and priorities; evaluating program activities; developing budget requests to achieve program goals; and providing consultative and technical services to agency program staff, other governmental agencies, public\/private community organizations, contracted service providers, consumers and the general public. Provides high level interpreter services, and provides training when required to meet program and\/or project objectives.<\/p>\n

The Communication Access Specialist is hired by, accountable and reports to the Director and performs complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves assisting with the planning, developing, and implementing various training and education programs and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.<\/p>\n

Duties include: assisting with establishing program goals and objectives; assisting with developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; assisting with developing schedules and priorities; assisting with evaluating program activities; and providing consultative and technical services and training to agency program staff, other governmental agencies, public\/private community organizations, contracted service providers, consumers and the general public.<\/p>\n
