Details of Assignments:<\/strong>
\n– Dallas and Dallas County \u2013 Legal\/court; immigration; medical; general
\n– Hourly engagements (2 hours minimum)
\n– Must be reliable, timely, responsible and professional
\n– Valid Texas Driver\u2019s License and auto insurance<\/p>\n

Basic Requirements<\/strong>
\n– At least 18 years of age & 3 years\u2019 experience providing ASL or CART services
\n– Must be authorized to legally work in the U.S\/Permanent Resident\/U.S. Citizen
\n– Texas Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) or National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certified interpreters
\n– Communication Access Real Time Translation (CART) Certification Level III or higher issued by the Texas Court Reporters Association or current Certified Real Time Reporter (CRR); Certified CART Provider (CCP), or Certified Broadcast Captioner (CBC) issued by the National Court Reporter Association
\n– Interpreters need to have proficiency in both voice-to-sign and sign-to-voice<\/p>\n

Certificates:<\/strong>
\n– Level III; Level III intermediary; Advanced; Court Interpreter Certificate; Trilingual Advanced -English and Spanish; Advanced CART level III\/IV
\n– All sign language interpreters and cart providers need to be certified by the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) Board for Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI), Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), Texas Court Reporters Association or by the National Court Reporter Association.<\/p>\n
