Hello Alumni and Non-Alumni, <\/p>\n
It has been a while since I had the vlog last month. Here I am-Andrew
\nHorn, Vice-President of TSDAA. Last July 26, TSDAA Picnic that hosted
\nat Austin Association of the Deaf known as Austin Deaf Club was
\nsuccessful. There were approxmiately over 70 people attending (both
\nalumni and non-alumni). They made new friends and met old friends.
\nThey brought good side dishes along with hamburgers and hot dogs
\nprovided by TexanVRS. I intended to capture the film on this event;
\nhowever, I was so overwhelmed by setting up, serving folks and giving
\npresentation. After they had their meal, I gave the presentation on
\ntwo things: TSDAA issues and TexanVRS issues. They now understood the
\npurpose of having this event. <\/p>\n
Remember that TSDAA planned to host the picnic at Dallas Association
\nof the Deaf in Dallas back in July (can\u2019t remember the date);
\nhowever, it was cancelled due to not enough on RSVP. Good NEWS\u2026..It
\nis rescheduled to host at DAD on Saturday, August 30. Come on to join
\nus and we will share the issues that we already gave to the folks who
\nattended the picnic at Austin Association of the Deaf. If you plan to
\ncome, please RSVP so we can count the heads for meat to be provided.

We try to set up the picnic in Houston; however, Tom Becker was not
\nable to get any assistance from folks in Houston to find a place. I
\nunderstood that Houston Deaf Club is not existing. (I could be wrong
\non this but no information to be shared). We would like to host the
\npicinc on Saturday, August 23 but that would be almost a week and half
\nfrom today. If you know something about the place, please contact Tom
\nBecker. By the way, Tom is TSDAA President. We will try to see if it
\nis possible to host one on August 23th. <\/p>\n
TSD Homecoming will be on Saturday, October 4th. TSDAA will have
\ntheir events planning for this. By the way, the election time (not
\nre-election) is coming up and will need to vote for new officers. The
\nnew officiers will serve two-year term. <\/p>\n
