After School Tutoring for Deaf Children – Austin<\/p>\n
This school year, Jesus Lutheran Church of the Deaf will be offering
\ndaily after school tutoring and homework help for deaf children. This
\nis NOT a competition with TSD, just the opposite. We will be
\ncooperating with TSD to help children who would like a little more
\nhelp or a time to do their homework before going home for the evening.<\/p>\n
In addition to Pastor Mark, we will also have local university
\nstudents working with the children. <\/p>\n
The schedule will look like this: <\/p>\n
Pick up students at TSD when school is over. <\/p>\n
Have a small snack. <\/p>\n
Start working on homework & special areas when needed. <\/p>\n
When done with homework, the children will be encouraged to work on
\nvocabulary by using word games or reading. <\/p>\n
When everyone is done with their homework, we “might” allow some
\noutside play or watching captioned movies. <\/p>\n

Remember, we are no longer offering child care, so if you are just
\nlooking for a child care center, this is NOT the place for you. The
\nchildren who come here will be expected to work on homework and their
