Signs2Go Interpreting and deSign and Consulting Services are partnering to bring the interpreter workshop detailed below to Fort Worth for all interested interpreters Saturday, June 01, 2019 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Seating is limited to 25 attendees and the cost for the 3.0 hour, Texas BEI approved workshop is $25.00.<\/p>\n

Registration process:
\nSend an email of interest to doug@designandconsultingservices.net<\/a> and an electronic invoice will sent to your email. Paying the invoice online with either a debit or credit card will secure and confirm your participation. When the limit has been met, all remaining unpaid invoices will be canceled eliminating the ability to process your payment (a cancellation notice will be sent). Should a confirmed participant cancel, a refund will be processed back to the card used and the next in line will be contacted to see if they are still interested, etc.<\/p>\n

Freelance Interpreting for Independent Contractors: The Basics<\/strong>
\nMeeting requirements of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a contractor is not as difficult as many believe; however, there are some stringent rules to which need to be adhered. This workshop will cover the basics, specific to interpreting, an individual needs to do to work as an independent contractor.<\/p>\n

Learner Outcomes<\/strong>
\nThe learner will:<\/strong>
\nbecome familiar with basic independent contractor do\u2019s and don\u2019ts;
\nbecome familiar with basic costs which can be counted as the cost of doing business; and
\nbecome familiar with various types of income and cost documentation.<\/p>\n
