One week ago today we mentioned Monica Ailey’s concern about a deaf
\nwhite pit bull named Malcomb in the Bridgeport Animal Shelter. <\/p>\n
He’s still there. Things have been juggled and he is surviving, but
\nwho knows for how long? <\/p>\n
Malcomb has charmed the staffers who find him to be sweet and good
\nwith other dogs. <\/p>\n
He just need a human to step up. <\/p>\n
Monica says Carol Ward of the Bridgeport shelter has spent time
\nworking with Malcomb to bring out his personality. Monica has been
\ntrying to get sanctuaries interested in taking him, but no dice so
\nfar. <\/p>\n
“I think Carol is holding on to him as long as she possibly can for
\nme,” says Monica. “The problem is that I know that means if he’s
\ntaking up a spot, that could mean she has to choose another dog to
\neuthanize. So, I’d prefer him out of there so it doesn’t mean the life
\nof another.” <\/p>\n
