With high vacation prices and many of us staying home this Labor Day
\nweekend \u2013 do you want to come to a potluck picnic and have some
\nwater fun with your kids?? GT Austin (Church of Glad Tidings) is
\nsponsoring a Deaf Ministry Potluck\/BBQ Picnic THIS SATURDAY, August
\n30th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the BRUSHY CREEK LAKE PARK, 3300
\nBrushy Creek Drive in Cedar Park (near Parmer Road on the border of
\nAustin and Cedar Park). This 90-acre park has a playground, water
\nplayscape for kids, hike and bike trail, nature trail, sand volleyball
\ncourt, BBQ grills, canoe\/kayak launch, fishing pier, and a 38-acre
\nlake that allows non-motorized boating. <\/p>\n
The CYPRESS RAMADA (picnic area) is already reserved by GT Austin \u2013
\ncan hold up to 50 people. Bring your whole family to this picnic and
\nhave some Christian fun! GT Austin will provide the meat for the BBQ
\nlunch \u2013 we will pray together and eat about 12:30-1:00 PM. <\/p>\n
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE PARK? <\/p>\n
— Each family – bring large potluck dish to share at lunch with all
\npeople. Some ice chests will be provided to keep your food until
\nlunchtime. <\/p>\n
— Bring water games stuff (modest swimsuits, towels, fishing poles,
\netc.) <\/p>\n
— Bring your own drinks and snacks for your family. Bring sunscreen
\nlotion and lawn chairs. Also bring an ice chest if you have one. <\/p>\n
— Bring your family members and friends! All are welcome! <\/p>\n
— No alcohol or drugs are allowed. No loud music. <\/p>\n
