Van Zant’s Inspiration Continues <\/p>\n
The inspirational story of former Robert E. Lee Red Raider Martel Van
\nZant continues. <\/p>\n
Kelli Masters, Martel’s agent, told KLTV 7 Sports Director Maya
\nGolden that the former Oklahoma State cornerback worked out with the
\nTennessee Titans last week. Martel is now on the NFL’s “ready” list.
\nThe list goes to all teams, informing them of what athletes are still
\navailable for a work out throughout the season. <\/p>\n
Masters also said that several arena league football teams have
\nexpressed interest in Martel. <\/p>\n
Martel was born without ear drums. He overcame the odds to play for
\nTyler Lee and then received a scholarship to play at OSU. <\/p>\n
Masters also told KLTV 7 the rights to Martel’s life story were sold
\nto Imagine Entertainment, owned by Ron Howard. The company is now
\nlooking for a script writer to bring Martel’s story to the big screen.<\/p>\n
