This is a Town Hall meeting attended by the Mayor of Fort Worth and
\nCity Council. This is for planning and feedback on current services
\nand future services for our Fort Worth community. <\/p>\n
Look at the website, post your feedback and suggestions (like open
\ncaptions on the video or interpreter in bubble) and tell them that you
\nare Deaf\/HOH and you will be taking the time to attend the meeting to
\ngive your feedback. Email Dennis Shingleton, who is the chairman of
\n“Lets Talk Fort Worth” to remind them of your communication needs
\nwhile you are attending (CART\/Sign Interpretation). <\/p>\n
This is an opportunity for Deaf to stand up and let people see that
\nwe are part of the community. As Fort Worth takes pride in its
\nstanding as an All-American City, it is just as important that Fort
\nWorth become a “Deaf Friendly City” as well. <\/p>\n
Fort Worth has a motto “Where the West Begins”…lets make Fort Worth
\nwhere Deaf Success Begins”. Come be a part of this history making
\nevent! <\/p>\n
This is Our Town! This is Our Time! This is Our Chance to make a
\nDifference for Deaf children in schools, Deaf families, and our Deaf
\nSenior Citizens who have served our Deaf Community! If they don’t see
\nDeaf there at the meeting, why will they plan for Deaf in the future?
\nIf many Deaf attend, they will see there is still a need to make “Fort
\nWorth #1 Deaf Friendly”! Tell friends to come! <\/p>\n
