Community members:<\/p>\n

The Health and Human Services Commission\u2019s Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (ODHHS) provides an annual weeklong summer program for deaf or hard-of-hearing children between the ages of 8 and 17. Called Camp Sign, this program is one of the important ways ODHHS serves the Texas deaf and hard-of-hearing community.<\/p>\n

Due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Camp Sign 2020 has been canceled. We regret having to make this decision, most importantly for the children who were hoping to attend. We look forward to resuming the Camp Sign program next year.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, we are planning to host several online workshops and activities for young deaf and hard-of-hearing Texans this summer to continue our commitment to provide opportunities for leadership and social growth.<\/p>\n
