Isaiah’s Place ASL Workshop Online Signs That Communicate Truth<\/p>\n

This workshop is designed for parents of HH\/ Deaf children as well as religious interpreters of all skill levels. The goal of the workshop is to teach parents and interpreter signs that are specifically used in a religious setting such as church, Sunday school, or academic Bible courses.<\/p>\n

Randalynn Johnson – Workshop Leader<\/p>\n

Randalynn (Randi) Johnson began working with d\/Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in high school interpreting for services at church. She has been employed at the University of North Texas since 2001 as a full time Sign Language Interpreter, providing communication access to students who are d\/Deaf or Hard of Hearing. She has been Student Services Coordinator for d\/Deaf and Hard of Hearing students since 2005. Randi graduated in 1997 from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma with a BA in Human Resources Counseling and Services to the Deaf with a Minor in Interpreting. She holds a BEI Level III Interpreter Certification and interprets in churches in the city of Denton.<\/p>\n
