Sexuality Interpreting Webinars 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sex Education in ASL is excited to announce that we are bringing our popular interpreting workshops online! This series runs from October 31st to December 5, 2020. You\u2019re invited to join us for one or all of the following webinars:<\/p>\n

Sexual Health & Reproductive ASL Classifiers (.3 CEUs)<\/strong>
\nInterpreting in Sexual Health Care Settings (.3 CEUs)<\/strong>
\nWorking with LGBTQIA+ Clients (.3 CEUs)<\/strong>
\nSex Education for Interpreters (.3 CEUs)<\/strong>
\nUnpacking Sexuality: Bringing Unconscious Bias to the Forefront (.6 CEUs)<\/strong><\/p>\n

As always, all webinars in the series aim to help you increase your level of confidence with sexuality interpreting efficiency, enhance in interpreting quality, and strengthen your performance as an interpreter, as well as keep you up-to-date on sexual health topics currently trending in the media.<\/p>\n

All workshops were developed based on the feedback from past participants and community members striving for continued education and equitable investment in the interpreting field. With a wide variety of sexuality topics to choose from, our workshops are specifically designed for ASL professionals and community members (yes, that means YOU!)<\/p>\n

All workshops will be live and interactive with various activities. In 2020, Zoom fatigue is real, but rest assured with Bethany’s dynamic presentation style and the use of hands-on activities, breakout room discussions, bio breaks, and polls to participate, workshops will be engaging and educational.<\/p>\n

All workshops will be held virtually via ZOOM. You’ll need a computer with a strong and stable internet connection (minimum of 5MB download speed). You can test your internet speed before registering here. (Linked attached) You will receive more information about the workshop once you are registered.
