SIGNING SANTA CLAUS IN TOWN<\/strong>

\nA Very Special Night with a Very Special Santa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Austin, Texas \u2013 December 7, 2020 Santa arrives at Barton Creek Square mall today, ready to check wish lists from area children who are deaf or hard of hearing, at 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Santa Claus knows all languages, including sign language.<\/p>\n

Signing Santa is a tradition that began in 2005 by the North Austin Optimist Club, and continues thanks to the kindness of Simon Management at Barton Creek Square and Michael Barker Photography.<\/p>\n

On this one night each year, children who communicate in sign language, wait for their turn to relay their wish lists directly to Santa \u2013 who is deaf like them.<\/p>\n

Every child or family takes home a free photo and a small treat from his workshop.<\/p>\n
