Deaf artists showcasing new works via live streaming<\/strong><\/p>\n

Austin, TX, Deaf Austin Theatre is excited to host the rest annual Short Play Festival, featuring six new plays written by Deaf playwrights from all over the United States. The title of the play is DAT Short Play Festival. It will be livestreamed on Stellartickets.com on April 30, 2021 & May 1, 2021 – 7:00 PM.<\/p>\n

Title: DAT Short Play Festival Director: Deaf Directors<\/p>\n

Plot: Deaf Austin Theatre is proud to host our first ever Short Play Festival. This event will showcase six new short plays written by Deaf playwrights. The theme for this year’s festival is “elevator,” so all shows are set in an elevator.<\/p>\n

Come check out the newest works by six amazing Deaf playwrights. All performances will be in American Sign Language. Voice overs and captions will be provided.<\/p>\n

This will be a virtual event starting April 30, 2021 – May 15, 2021, premiering six new short plays written by Deaf playwrights.<\/p>\n

The event will start off with a 2 night premier live streamed event which will feature three of the six shows for this year’s festival. Each night we will have a Q&A with the writers and directors of that night’s pieces. The live streamed event will be hosted by Sandra Mae Frank and Brian Andrew Cheslik.<\/p>\n

Then all of the shows will be available for on- demand streaming through May 15, 2021<\/p>\n

Tickets & Info: The ticket price for this play is $ 30 and $15.<\/p>\n

$30 tickets will get you access to the 2 night live streamed premier event.<\/p>\n

$15 tickets will give you on demand access to watch the 6 plays only without the live streaming, from May 2, 201 – May 15, 2021<\/p>\n
