Topic: Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP)<\/p>\n

Daymond Sands, Deaf Action Center-Dallas\u2019 Deaf specialist, will talk about the STAP. STAP provides communication access though devices for deaf and hard of hearing people who need it. In addition to cell phones, there are headphones available for people who are hard of hearing that increase the volume to the appropriate level, FM systems, and so much more. You name it, the technology is so advanced right now to help those who need it. Through the STAP program, we have vouchers that can help people pay for devices that they wouldn\u2019t normally be able to afford on their own.<\/p>\n
