Henderson, Commissioner<\/p>\n<p>July 18, 2006<\/p>\n<p>We started our 39th Annual Men&#8217;s and 32nd Annual Women&#8217;s Regional Slo-Pitch Softball Tournament in Jackson, Mississippi and the fields in Pearl, Mississippi on July 13-15, 2006. <\/p>\n<p>The weather was so sweating hot with nearly 100 degrees daily with the threatening of thunderstorms which never happened.  We had 182 players with 8 men&#8217;s and 3 women&#8217;s teams and 145 fans\u2026totaling 327 registrations. <\/p>\n<p>Thursday night meetings ended with the elections of officers.  I announced my retirement and stepped down from the position as commissioner of SWSAD effective October 1, 2006.  The election results are for 2006-2009:  Brent Potter, Austin, Tx as Commissioner, Ken Seabolt, Dallas, Tx as Deputy Commissioner, Robert Brannan, Little Rock, Ark as Secretary\/Treasurer, Lanny Pickering, Jackson, Ms as Information Director, and Chas Haney, Baton Rouge, La as Tournament Director. <\/p>\n<p>We started the tournaments with one game round robin for the men to determine the seedings based on most runs to least runs and full round robin games for the women.
