NBC promotes clear and effective communication to information and services for these underserved communities in Texas.

This Vaccine Education and Outreach program will focus on making sure complete and fully accurate information about COVID-19, the vaccines, their possible-side effects, and testing are available to persons who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind. We will conduct webinars and produce PSA’s, podcasts, and materials in accessible formats. This idea is to dispel (make disappear-eliminate) myths, resolve doubts, answer questions and, in general, educate and help those who may be hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Also, as part of the grant, we would like to assist your agency in making information such as Vaccine related Public Service Announcements (PSA’s), Webinars, and related information accessible in video for the communities you serve. Through our sister organization Deaf Link, we have produced numerous videos for the CDC relating to COVID-19.<gwmw style="display:none;"></gwmw>

Here is one example of our work for CDC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8AAhJieXXo

Please look at the Accessible Communication Portal: https://acp.nobacomm.org/

This is a video found in our portal: https://acp.nobacomm.org/Houston.aspx?id=2582

We hope that you will help us show other people where to find this information.
