Legacy Church of Christ <\/p>\n
Give Away Day is a wonderful and long-standing ministry of the Legacy
\nChurch of Christ. Hundreds of families and thousands of individuals
\nfrom the local community, North Richland Hills and surrounding areas,
\nare provided clothing, house wares, toys, food, and most importantly
\nan opportunity to see the love of Jesus in action. <\/p>\n
If you are in need of such items, you are welcomed to come to
\nGiveaway Day 2008. Registration numbers are randomly distributed at
\napproximately 8 am. <\/p>\n

Otherwise, you can be there very early before 8am if you want to as
\ncatch parking. We feed hotdogs and soft drinks to those who are
\nwaiting. I think they provide breakfast. I am not sure. <\/p>\n

This years Give away day is October 11, 2008. <\/p>\n
History of Give-Away Day <\/p>\n
The Pipeline Road Church of Christ began “Give-Away Day” in 1985.
\nExcept for one year, the church has continued to hold this annual
\nevent every year. Last year, we served almost 400 families on
\n“Give-Away Day.” <\/p>\n
The members of the Legacy Church of Christ bring new and used items
\nto give on this one day of benevolence outreach. We bring clothing,
\nespecially coats for the children for school. We bring shoes, school
\nsupplies, and a lot of toys. While the first consideration is the
\nchildren, we supply clothes for adults, cooking utensils, and some
\nsmall household items. Our “Quilting Ladies” meet throughout the year
\nto prepare quilts to give each family one quilt on this day. We
\nprepare boxes of food. The number of people in the family determines
\nhow many boxes of food are given. We feed hotdogs and soft drinks to
\nthose who are waiting. We offer Bible correspondence courses, and give
\naway Bibles. <\/p>\n
