Greetings!<\/p>\n

As we approach the end of the year, we want to share HEARD\u2019s annual Holiday Fundraiser, our biggest fundraising effort yet. We are raising $12,500 to support our currently and formerly incarcerated community.<\/p>\n

The end of the year holiday season can be especially isolating for incarcerated people and their loved ones. Each December, HEARD sends funds to our currently and formerly incarcerated community in the spirit of radical love for and solidarity with our loved ones impacted by incarceration.<\/p>\n

This is HEARD\u2019s third year distributing holiday funds to deaf\/disabled incarcerated people. These funds help reduce the burden on imprisoned people and their loved ones faced with exploitative prices from prison commissary and telecommunication providers. In the past, deaf\/disabled incarcerated people have shared the impact of these funds:<\/p>\n

We welcome contributions of any size – every dollar raised will go directly to community members through: commissary funds for people who are incarcerated stipends to support travel expenses for people visiting incarcerated loved ones reentry welcome home packages and direct aid and support for those just coming home includes clothing, technology, funds for groceries and clothing, and more.<\/p>\n
