An inventor of a successful board game, known as “ASLingo,” Gage’s new book, “How Much Do You Know About American Sign Language and Deaf Culture, History, Jokes, and Stories” was inspired by her son, Joviah, and with filial support from daughter, Zamica, and younger son, Andaz, who all teamed up with others to turn the book into an amazing three-dimensional experience. The innovative pop-up book tells eight classic jokes about life in a Deaf world, and includes over 50 QR codes to illustrate and dramatize the contents of the colorful 3-D learning and entertainment experience. Illustrations by Salvador Sanchez, a native New Yorker, and talented Deaf multimedia artist responsible for all the dramatic artwork in the book.
