What could anyone do about a
calamity like that? Well, there is one solution. Just like Noah in
Artisan’s hit THE ARK and Joseph in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR
DREAM COAT, what Job needed was his very own musical extravaganza!
That’s exactly what the late Rudy Eastman and his long-time musical
collaborator, Joe Rogers, thought. So, they wrote a great gospel
musical, THE BOOK OF JOB, for Marian and Rudy Eastman’s Jubilee
Theatre in downtown Fort Worth. It brought down the house then and in
its two revivals. But now, for the very first time ever outside of
Jubilee Theatre, THE BOOK OF JOB is coming to Artisan. Directed by
Sheran Goodspeed-Keyton, one of the stars of Jubilee’s previous
productions and many of the other sell-out Jubilee musicals; it has
Lloyd Harvey, our recent “Captain Hook,” as Job and a great cast
of singers and movers. You’ll be wagging your fingers and stomping and
hollering right along with job’s judgmental neighbors as they belt out
“What You Done” (must have been pretty bad to deserve this)!!!
This glorious, infectious, colorful, soulful emotional entertaining
production is good for the whole family.

CAST

Job – Lloyd Harvey

Story Teller – Loretta Davis, Vivian Hollings

Satan – Aaron Petite, Michael Rain

Voice of God – Ken Long

Job’s Wife/2nd Voice of God – Feleceia Benton, Nana Osei

Eliphaz – Greg Burton, Douglas Carter

Bildad – Alan Earl, Jeff Florence

Zophar – Jon Kennedy, Bob Beck

Woman #1 Chelsea Duncan Latrice Wilson

Woman #2 Judy Keller Teri McHargue

Woman #3 Amber Williams Shanice Antwine

Woman #4 Jennifer Porter Kennard Jennifer Porter Kennard

Messenger #1 Donald Stanciell David Rodriguez

Messenger #2 DeWayne Smith Caroline Probasco

Messenger #3 Mary Edmon Renee Griffin

Messenger #4 Jessica Keller Baird Harbin

Messenger #5 Tasia Robinson Fabiola Fenelon

Production Staff

Producer – Dee Ann Blair

Director – Sheran Goodspeed-Keyton

Music Director – Demetrius Ethley

Choreographer – Sheran Goodspeed-Keyton

Stage Manager – Jennifer Cadenhead

Costume Designer – Crickett Pettigrew

Set Design – Jason Leyva, Sheran Goodspeed-Keyton

Photography – Al Smith

SUMMARY OF THE BOOK OF JOB:

Who: Artisan Center Theater, a 150 seat theater-in-the-round

What: THE BOOK OF JOB

When: October 18 through November 15, 2008

Where: The Belaire Plaza, 420 E.
