The Writer\u2019s Garret and Making Entertainment Worthwild – M.E.W. Productions and are partnering to bring Hear Me, See Me, a multilingual celebration of poetry, to the first ever Dallas Is Lit! Literary festival, held May 10-14, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.<\/p>\n
The Writers Garret, host of Dallas Is Lit!, is a Dallas-based literary organization operating at the intersection of the literary and educational communities, connecting people through the power of language.<\/p>\n
M.E.W. Productions, based in northeast Texas, brings together hearing and hard-of-hearing communities through artistic creations spanning a variety of mediums.<\/p>\n
Here Me, See Me combines American Sign Language (ASL), Spanish and English, in an exploration of the possibilities of self expression, the power of poetry, and the emotions that unite us all.<\/p>\n
The production seeks sponsorship to realize this transformative piece of theatre, and produce the film documenting the process. Costs include: venue and technology rentals; production costs, including interpreters; performer compensation; and promotional materials.<\/p>\n
