2023 TSID REGION 2 RENDEZVOUS<\/strong><\/p>\n

TSID’s Annual Business meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

will also be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 1-5PM at the Tyler Junior College, Robert M. Rogers Nursing and Health Science Building, in-person only.<\/p>\n

OUR WORKSHOP WEEKEND<\/strong><\/p>\n

STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Interpreting students will attend a variety of workshops Friday morning and afternoon, a Q&A session with TJC Alumni & staff, and a social event sponsored by the Tyler Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center. Free to attend for students.<\/p>\n

INTERPRETERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Working Interpreters will have the opportunity to attend 3 hour workshops Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday mornings. 2 tracks will be offered. BEI and RID CEUS pending.<\/p>\n

NETWORKING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday night, Tyler Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center, TJC and TSID will host a social event from 6:30-8:30 PM. If you are looking to get out, socialize and network, this is the event for you! No CEUs.<\/p>\n

Skills Track<\/strong><\/p>\n

These workshops will center on skill building and specialized vocabulary, focusing on K-12\/Education adjacent interpreters and students, but all are welcome and will benefit!<\/p>\n

PPO\/Ethics Track<\/strong><\/p>\n

In these workshops, you will join others in learning about handling ethical situations, focusing more on the “behind the scenes” of what makes a great interpreter!<\/p>\n
