Did you know that of the more than 10,000 certified interpreters in the U.S., only 24% are male and only 4% are black? In this presentation, follow along as the presenter details a history of his personal experiences as a minority within a minority in the interpreting field.<\/p>\n

Hear about his challenges, some common to all interpreters, but some that are unique to interpreters of color, and how he deals with them. Also, learn about some of the misconceptions that he\u2019s faced on the job and how he handles them.<\/p>\n
