Deaf Awareness Month announcement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

HHSC Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services in Austin is hosting an in-person event \u2014 from 10 AM to 12 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Brown-Heatly Building Hearing Rooms (#1410) on the first floor \u2014 to commemorate milestones and accomplishments within the Deaf community. RSVP here.<\/p>\n

Participation is encouraged to raise awareness, learn about Deaf culture, connect with each other, and join in celebration. The activities promote involvement and support and help make a positive impact within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeaf Awareness Month is a time to amplify the voices of the Deaf community, break down barriers, and build a more inclusive society where everyone\u2019s abilities are valued and their dreams are supported,\u201d said DHHS Director Bryant Robinson.<\/p>\n
