Leo Yates and Mary Ann Deters (2 hours)<\/li>\n<li>Jesus emphasized the importance of compassion. In this workshop, participants will receive an overview of pastoral care and some techniques to provide care and compassion to others in their church and community.<\/li>\n<li>Global and Local Mission leadership &#8211; (2 hours, Friday, or Saturday) Rev. Dr. Kirk VanGilder, Associate Professor of Religion and Philosophy at Gallaudet University, Kirk has expertise in Deaf mission abroad (Zimbabwe, Kenya, Turkey) and locally.<\/li>\n<li>Finding your Spiritual Gifts (2 hours, Friday, or Saturday). Dr. Tom Hudspeth How do we read the Bible, what did the Bible mean to the first people who heard or read the scriptures? What does the Bible say to us today?
