“Weddings, Funerals and Sermons: Interpreting Christian Content” an interpreter workshop open to ASL students, interpreting students, and certified ASL interpreters seeking continuing education credits with the RID.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taught by Peggy Cobb, who has a M.S. in ASL\/English Interpreting Pedagogy, and has a TX BEI, is a Master, Level IV & Court Interpreter Certification, has a National RID Certificate of Interpreting & Certificate of Transliterating and is the ASL \/ Interpreting Instructor, Practicum Coordinator in the Communications & Fine Arts department of the Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus.<\/p>\n

Saturday, November 4, 2023, 9am to 3pm at Walnut Hill Church, A Ministry of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 10066 Marsh Lane, Dallas, Texas 75229. Register at http:\/\/www.llumc.org\/umcd<\/a>. The cost is $40 for the certificate and lunch. No refunds. All participants who complete the course receive .5 CEU’s. The Texas Society of Interpreters for the DEAF (TSID) 0027, is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. This workshop \u201cWeddings, Funerals, and Sermons: Interpreting Christian Content\u201d is offered for (.5) CEU\u2019s at the Little\/None or Some Prior Content Knowledge Level.<\/p>\n

This workshop is hosted by the Deaf Ministry of Walnut Hill Church, A Ministry of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, on Saturday, November 4, 2023, 9am-3pm, as part of the United Methodist Congress of the Deaf Leadership Conference.
