Our gift to you.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers will develop skills for working with DeafBlind Youth and Mentors through direct training and mentorship.<\/p>\n<p>The training is presented in a mix of PTL, ASL and English by the team of DBCTX trainers, hosted by Heather Pavey, Camp Director. Teens come to the camp June 2 &#8211; 7, 2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>More teens to join us!<\/li>\n<li>A few more co-navigators* to join us!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What is a co-navigator?<\/p>\n<p>A person who works with a DB person to orient and navigate through their environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why join us???<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You DB? Come and meet other teens who are the same as you.<\/li>\n<li>Meet new friends.<\/li>\n<li>Do you want to work with DeafBlind youth and adults?<\/li>\n<li>Take the opportunity to develop and practice CN skills.<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer with us, especially if you are interested in working with DDBHH youth, as a Deaf Support Specialist, and\/or a grade-school ASL interpreter<\/li>\n<li>Gain new experience working with DB people.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Volunteer CN training is on June 1st and 2nd before the teens come!<\/p>\n<p>Where?
