ASL Interpreting Lab Staff Posting – DFW<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tarrant County College \u2013 Trinity River Campus is hiring an Instructional Assistant for our ASL Interpreting Lab. This is an in-person position in beautiful downtown Fort Worth. This position assists with tutoring all levels of students in the Sign Language Interpreting Program, from ASL 1, 2, 3, 4, and all levels of Interpreting classes.<\/p>\n

This position is part time, working 19.5 hours per week, on a flexible schedule which may include evenings and occasional Saturdays, to ensure all students have access to the required tutoring for their classes.<\/p>\n

\"\"We are looking for an engaging person, who enjoys helping students learn by providing interactive tutoring activities, and one on one language mentoring. This position also supports the instructors in the program and participates in program wide events.<\/p>\n

Required qualifications include: an associate\u2019s degree, or 60 college hours from a regionally accredited college or university and two (2) years work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related work experience.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will have experience using native or near-native American Sign Language, Microsoft Office, and other online technology to maintain tutoring schedules and communication with colleagues.<\/p>\n
