Angel Ramos – Keynote Speaker <\/p>\n

Angel is a former resident of the Dallas metro area and a former <\/p>\n

member of DAD. Many Dallasites will recall him being a strong Deaf <\/p>\n

rights advocate. He was instrumental in helping DAD, along with a few<\/p>\n

others, to receive a grant from the City of Dallas to pave the
\nparking <\/p>\n

lot and to build the fence around the clubhouse. Angel was involved <\/p>\n

with the Gallaudet University Deaf President Now (DPN) movement in <\/p>\n

1988 and co-hosted the recent 2008 DPN anniversary at Gallaudet. <\/p>\n

Throughout the years Angel has made many positive impacts on the <\/p>\n

education of Deaf students as well as helping to expand educational <\/p>\n

opportunities for the Deaf and hard of hearing children and adults. <\/p>\n

Brian Brizendine – Master of Ceremonies <\/p>\n

Brian was born to a Deaf family and raised in Maryland where he spent<\/p>\n

most of his childhood. While growing up he would join his20Deaf <\/p>\n

parents at the Washington DC Club of the Deaf and later participated <\/p>\n

in various Deaf sports. Brian is a big supporter of Deaf rights,
\nclubs <\/p>\n

and the Deaf communities. <\/p>\n

Saturday evening, November 1, 2008, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. <\/p>\n
