Join us for an informative session on the Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP). STAP is a voucher program that offers financial assistance to people with qualifying disabilities, enabling them to obtain specialized equipment that makes telephone communication easier.<\/p>\n

STAP is available to Texans who are blind or have low vision, people who have speech impairments, cognitive disabilities, or mobility challenges, and people who are deaf or hard of hearing.<\/p>\n

During this information session, we will outline the program’s requirements and application process. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. This session is intended for potential applicants, their families, and professionals who support people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

This webinar will be presented in American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English; CART (captioning) and ASL\/English interpretation will be provided.<\/p>\n

Certificates of attendance will be awarded to attendees that may be used for continuing education documentation. In addition, participants may earn 0.15 DHHS General CEUs (accepted by BEI).<\/p>\n
