Achieving Independence Through Employment <\/p>\n

This session will explore what it means to be independent and how
\nstudents can start the process to becoming a successful independent
\nadult. Information about connecting with Vocational Rehabilitation to
\nobtain transition services will also be provided to enable students to
\nmake the change from high school to the real world. Students and
\nparents welcome. <\/p>\n
About the Presenter: John Evans has been with the State of Washington
\nfor more than 24 years serving in a variety of positions such as a
\nVocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Business Relations Specialist and
\nEmployer Relations Program Administrator; his current position. Mr.
\nEvans also worked as a Reasonable Accommodation Specialist with the
\nState Department of Personnel where he served as a statewide
\nconsultant and employee development trainer to employer
\nrepresentatives. <\/p>\n
