CITY OF FORT WORTH HOLDING HEARINGS ON MODERN STREET CAR SYSTEM <\/p>\n
The City of Fort Worth is holding three (3) community meetings to
\ndiscuss a modern street car system for Fort Worth. The City Council
\nappointed a committee in July, 2008 to determine whether or not
\nstreetcars should be a part of the City\u2019s transportation system as
\nthey once were more than 50 years ago. The Modern Streetcar Study
\nCommittee is also charged with researching light rail and streetcar
\nsystems in other cities, assessing costs and benefits, and making a
\nrecommendation to the City Council. <\/p>\n
The three meetings are scheduled to take place on: <\/p>\n
Monday, November 17 at 6:30 PM <\/p>\n
Rose Marine Theater <\/p>\n
1440 N. Main Street <\/p>\n
Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30 PM <\/p>\n
Guinn School <\/p>\n
1150 South Freeway <\/p>\n
Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 PM <\/p>\n
University of North Texas Health Science Center <\/p>\n
Everett Hall, RES Building <\/p>\n
3500 Camp Bowie Blvd. <\/p>\n
This is an opportunity for people with disabilities, the Deaf and
\nHard of Hearing Community and all residents of Fort Worth to
\nparticipate at the beginning of a City project to ensure it will
\nbenefit all communities. All ages are encouraged to attend to learn
\nabout the project and how it will benefit you. <\/p>\n
