Texas DARS and Walgreen’s Working to Create Jobs for People with
\nDisabilities<\/p>\n
Walgreen’s and the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation
\nServices (DARS) has an intensive and individualized work conditioning
\nprogram for adults with disabilities, including Deaf and Hard of
\nHearing. The Work Ready Program (WRP) is a four week program, and
\nincludes physical endurance and job skills development training.<\/p>\n
The Transitional Work Group (TWG) is an opportunity for individuals
\nwith disabilities to enhance and develop work skills in a retail
\ndistribution environment. After working with a job coach in this nine
\nweek program, individuals are evaluated toward becoming full-time
\nemployees of Walgreen’s.<\/p>\n
