The conference is free and open to the public; no pre-registration
\nrequired. Sign language Interpreters will be provided for the Deaf and
\nHard of Hearing<\/p>\n
Who are SKYWARN storm spotters?<\/p>\n
Amateur radio operators make up the backbone of the SKYWARN spotter
\nnetwork. In some communities and counties, law enforcement and fire
\nofficials serve effectively as storm spotters. Public utilities
\nworkers, electric and telephone crews, and city\/county employees may
\nalso serve as storm spotters, along with interested members of the
\ngeneral public. This is an excellent opportunity to have your law
\nenforcement, fire, dispatchers, city\/county workers, Community
\nEmergency Response Teams, and interested citizens trained in how to
\nspot severe weather in your community. Collin County Community College
