Vonnie Basham will talk about \u201cElder Abuse-Domestic Violence\u201d <\/p>\n
Vonnie had worked with Deaf Abused Women and Children Advocacy
\nServices from 2001 – 2007. She began as a counselor and in the summer
\nof 2004 became DAWCAS’ Program Director. Her responsibilities included
\noverseeing direct services as well as community education activities.
\nShe is now the Deaf Services Counseling Coordinator at SafePlace, a
\ndomestic violence and rape crisis agency located in Austin, Texas.
\nthen Ann Horn will talk about \u201cWhat Can DHHS Do For You?\u201c <\/p>\n
Ann works with Direct Services under DARS-DHHS for 16 years. Her
\nresponsibilities are interpreting services, senior citizens program,
\nCamp SIGN, information and referral on services and handling the
\npayment vouchers for services. <\/p>\n
