She presently holds interpreting<br \/>\ncertificates and\/or licenses from Registry of Interpreters for the<br \/>\nDeaf, Inc. (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), and the<br \/>\nState of Texas and Alabama. <\/p>\n<p>She obtained her Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Deaf Education from Texas<br \/>\nChristian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Ms. Bruce went on to<br \/>\nachieve a Master of Arts Degree in Sign Language Interpretation at<br \/>\nGallaudet University in Washington, DC. She has completed doctoral<br \/>\nwork at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and does hold ABD status. <\/p>\n<p>Ms. Bruce, a former president of the National Alliance of Black Sign<br \/>\nLanguage Interpreters, Inc. (NAOBI), has previously served as a member<br \/>\nof the National Multicultural Interpreting project in El Paso, Texas<br \/>\nand the Alabama Licensure Committee for Sign Language Interpreters. <\/p>\n<p>Ms. Bruce is a community and video relay\/video remote interpreter,<br \/>\nmentor, religious interpreter, consultant, presenter, and educator. <\/p>\n<p>Ms. Bruce is the owner of CJAGA Sign Language Interpreter Service,<br \/>\nLLC located in Washington, DC. <\/p>\n<p>TARGET AUDIENCE: Advanced interpreting students and professional<br \/>\ninterpreters <\/p>\n<p>COURSE OUTLINE: The workshop will provide participants with the<br \/>\nimportance of knowing parameters. Upon identifying the parameters of<br \/>\nASL and basic sentence types, participants will be able to improve<br \/>\ntheir clarity of sign production.
