YEARBOOKS ON SALES NOW FOR $65.00 DOLLARS <\/p>\n
We want to tell everyone that we have very good news. We have been
\ncollecting the Yearbook payments from those who are interested to buy
\nthe SWCID Reunion 2010 Yearbook. We have been remindingyou (all) that
\nwe are selling yearbook for $65.00 dollars before May 31, 2009 (due,
\ndeadline). The price will go up to $75.00 dollars from June 1, 2009 to
\nDecember 31, 2009. We want remind you that the price is cheap right
\nnow. Grab your yearbook 2010 for $65.00, don’t wait, don’t delay too
\nlong. After June 1, 2009 will cost you $75.00 dollars until December
\n31, 2009.<\/p>\n
YEARBOOK PAYMENT\/LAYAWAY <\/p>\n
Start now, save $10.00 or $20.00 on January 2009, and save another
\n$10.00 to $20.00 dollars on Feburary 2009 until you make it up to
\n$65.00 dollars then mail your payment to Christine Kamal as personal
\ncheck or money order. Do not forget to put on your personal check or
\nmoney order as (pay to the order of ) “Reunion 2010” and on the
\nbottoem left of the check (personal checks only) you will see “memo”
\nand put the “Yearbook”. If you are paying the money orders please
\nleave a note for me to know which one it is for yearbook in the
\nfutures.<\/p>\n
YEARBOOK FEATURES\/PAGES\/PICTURES<\/p>\n
The yearbook will show 400 pages, color and black\/white. Mrs Burke
\nwill write the historical events about SWCID, the past and the present
\nbuilding, the past and the present student, and will share with other
\npeople who took the pictures. There will be many and many more
\ninvolved with this yearbook. Please send me your picures that you took
\nor have take in SWCID. Any pictures are welcome. Remember write the
\ninformation (description of names of people or events or place and
\ndate on the back of the pictures. So we can put any pictures in the
\nyearbook. Send the pictures to Lisa Wynn or Christine Kamal.<\/p>\n
WEBSITE<\/p>\n
We are still working (under construction) to get our new website
\nsoon. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are trying our best.

NO VP OR COMPUTER?<\/p>\n
Let you know that we received some feeback that some people did not
\nhave videophones or computers. Please tell other people or your
\nfriends and family about our SWCID Reunion 2010 on July 8-11, 2010.
\nSpread the word! We appreciate your spreading the news and informatin.<\/p>\n
T-SHIRTS\/POLO SHIRTS<\/p>\n
Also Lisa Wynn has been working on the T-shirt and Polo shirts to get
\nmore information and will bring it to the SWCID committee meeting.
\nAfter the meeting we will announce on the next SWCID Reunion
\nnewsletter about how much it will cost and what the prices are.<\/p>\n
DEAF NATION – DEAF EXPO – AUSTIN, TEXAS MARCH 7, 2009<\/p>\n
We want to remind you that Christine Kamal will be in Austin, Texas
\nfor the Deaf Nation Deaf Expo on March 7, 2009. SHe will be collecting
\nyour photos there if you want to come to Austin, Texas and or bring
\nyour money \/payment for the yearbook and you can give it to her there
\nand ask question and many more. If you have any quesions, she will be
\nmore happy to answer the questions.<\/p>\n
OKLAHOMA DEAF NATION EXPO OCTOBER 2009<\/p>\n
Lisa Wynn will be going to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Deaf Nation
\ndeaf Expo in October 2009<\/p>\n
SWCID SPORTS @ SWCID REUNION 2010??<\/p>\n
Also would you like to see sports or games in our swcid reunion 2010.
\nRemember this is unofficial because we will go to Big Spring, Texas to
\nfind out more information. We will announce it in the next SWCID
\nReunion newsletter. We might have softball games, bowling games,
\nhorseshoes games, and Racquetball games.<\/p>\n

I could like to say a “BIG THANK YOU” to Lana Reynolds, Hope Landin,
\nFreddy Maddux, Linda Shipley, Cole Wilson, Daniel Esqueda, Renee
\nBartsch, Christine Kamal, and Lisa Santos for telling everyone about
\nSWCID Reunion 2010. I really appreciate your help.<\/p>\n
LOGOS\/THEMES<\/p>\n
More good news to tell you, we have about 10 logos. Also there are
\nabout 6 Themes. We have about 7 different kind of enterprises. We will
\nbring the information to SWCID on Februray 27 to 28 to vote. We will
\nannounce the winner at the SWCID Reunion. We will pick one or two
\nenterprises, depending upon the SWCID Reunion and SWCID committee.<\/p>\n
PHOTOGRAPHERS\/YEARBOOK PHOTOS<\/p>\n
Haden Lambert and Rungsit Wonsaprome will come to SWCID and help us.
\nThey will scan all of the pictures in the SWCID museum from 1980 to
\npresent. We want all of the pictures to be put into the new Yearbook
\n2010.<\/p>\n
SWCID REUNION 2010 COMMITTEE MEMEBERS<\/p>\n
We want to let you know that SWCID Reunion 2010 commitee will go to
\nBig Spring, Texas to have a meeting and to get more information on
\nFebruary 27 to 28, 2009. Lisa Wynn will be updating and getting more
\ninformation out into the next newsletter.<\/p>\n
COMMITTEE WORKING ON YEARBOOK IN AUGUST<\/p>\n
Also in August 2009, we will work on the draft yearbook in Dallas,
\nTexas and we hope to finish by the time because it will have 400
\npages. After we finish with the draft yearbook, we will hold it until
\nJuly 8 to 11, 2009, we will take more pictures for the event. Then we
\nwill put out last pictures of the event into the yearbook. We will
\nsend the draft yearbook to the Yearbook Company for processing and
\nprinting. They will work on it. They informaed me that they (yearbook
\ncompany) wll be doen within 3 to 6 months and they will mail to you on
\nvia UPS. Why 3 to 6 months, it depends on how many people will buy the
\nyearbook. Lisa Wynn hopes that everyone will buy a yearbook and we
\nhope to sell over 100 yearbooks.<\/p>\n
Dr. DOUGLAS BURKE SCULPTURE<\/p>\n
Cole Wilson will be helping us to find a way to get the Sculpture.
\nCole Wilson and Lisa Wynn discussed about it. Cole Wilson suggested to
\nstart fundraising until we have enough money. Donations are welcome.
\nRemember the Sculpture is not cheap, It is very heavy and expensive.
\nWe would like to have it ready by 2015. The Sculpture will be that of
\nDr. Douglas Burke.<\/p>\n
REUNION CHANGES DATE TO JULY?<\/p>\n
Mark Meyers, Provost of SWCID, said if there are more than 300
\npeople, then he will have the SWCID Reunion every 5 years in the
\nsummer in July.<\/p>\n
NEED YOUR HELP\/DONATIONS\/FUNDING<\/p>\n
We need your big help. We need to earn some money or find donations
\nfor the Sculpture and SWCID Reunion 2010 event. If you plan to donate
\nmoney, please let us know (leave us a note) what it is for. When you
\nsend us a check or money order let us know if it is for the Dr. Burke
\nSculpture or for the next SWCID Reunion. All moneys will be kept and
\nrecorded.<\/p>\n
