This program will also<br \/>\ncover the consequences of dementia, the impact of diagnosis and<br \/>\ntreatment of Alzheimer&#8217;s disease. After this program, the participants<br \/>\nwill be able to differentiate between normal age-related cognitive<br \/>\nchanges and Alzheimer&#8217;s disease and dementia related changes,<br \/>\ndifferentiate between Alzheimer&#8217;s disease and dementia, identify the<br \/>\nwarning signs of Alzheimer&#8217;s disease and describe the process of<br \/>\ndiagnosis and treatment. <\/p>\n<p>Katie Olson is the speaker and is the Community Education and<br \/>\nOutreach Coordinator for the Alzheimer&#8217;s Association, Houston and<br \/>\nSoutheast Texas Chapter. <\/p>\n<p>Audience &#8211; This free presentation is designed for deaf and hard of<br \/>\nhearing individuals, family members and their caregivers. <\/p>\n<p>Accommodations &#8211; Sign Language Interpreters and C.A.R.T. will be<br \/>\nprovided.
