Fort Worth City Council Meeting on February 3, 2009<\/p>\n
Hi All,<\/p>\n
I’m writing to ask you to share a few words at the Fort Worth City
\nCouncil Meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd, on what the resolution and
\nthe steps the City of Fort Worth is taking mean to you. I think it is
\nimportant for the City Council and the people of the City of Fort
\nWorth hear from members of the deaf community to see the community’s
\nshow support for the resolution.<\/p>\n
It doesn’t end with the resolution. Getting the resolution passed is
\nonly the beginning. There will be more work ahead. It is important
\nthat the City Council and Commission feel they have the support of the
\ndeaf and hard of hearing community. Estrus Tucker, Chair of the Human
\nRelations Commission calls us “neighbors.” He has included the deaf
\nand hard of hearing community in the process of determining the
\nrecommendations for the resolution. This is a time to celebrate.<\/p>\n
Please arrive early, around 6:30 PM, to give yourself time to find
\nparking and then fill out a card to speak, before the meeting starts.
\nThe Council Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Each speaker will be
\nlimited to 3 minutes. Also, please spread the word, so that we have a
\ngood turnout. For a copy of the Council agenda, go to

\n and look for the February 3rd Council Meeting under Public Meetings.<\/p>\n
